Local criminal defense attorney Erin Bailey is proud to join the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (SCACDL) Board of Directors representing the 15th Circuit spanning Georgetown and Horry County.
“I am honored to join the ranks of these esteemed leaders in law and support their tireless efforts to protect the rights of citizens across South Carolina,” says Erin Bailey Law Founder and Trial Attorney, Erin Bailey. “The mission of this organization aligns with my love for the law and the deeply held belief in safeguarding the fundamental rights of South Carolinians.”
Nominated and elected by her peers, Bailey will actively support the SCACDL’s mission of protecting citizens’ liberty, ensuring justice and due process, challenging legislation directed at limiting individual
rights and providing innovative continued legal education opportunities for private attorneys and public defenders.
Alongside the nonprofit’s fight to protect and preserve the public’s equal access to justice, Bailey is especially enthusiastic about bolstering SCACDL’s learning and development opportunities for women in law.
“Mentoring young lawyers, especially women pursuing criminal defense careers, is important to me, and I see this service as a way to help ensure we are represented and our voices are heard,” says Bailey.
Beginning her term with the Board of Directors on November 8, 2023, Bailey brings the SCACDL tested experience with 20+ cases tried to verdict, thousands of warrants handled, and her rank among the Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers in South Carolina by the National Trial Lawyers.
